So monday was a little holiday that us in the States refer to as Halloween where everyone old and young dresses up and everyone has a good time. During the day Mel and Aimee and I went out to go purchase the final touches for our costumes on Oxford Street. I decided I was going to be wonderwoman.... because well....i'm actually an Amazonian Princess.....couldn't you tell? well a bunch of us dressed up and we decided to go hit the town. Conclusion: People don't dress up for halloween here. Their idea of dressing up is throwing on some black eyeliner and fake blood....and that's going all out. Quite sad. Oh well...it was a good time had by all. I conversed with an irish mandolin playing, russian speaking, scotland yard worker and an aussie. Fun times! I'll have to post some of those pictures as well...they are HILARIOUS!!!
Tuesday....(wow..i'm only a day behind!!!) was the first day of classes after our break where we had the same lecturer who gave us our last lecture before the break come and talk to us about the 18th Century....well he kind of did. He spent a lot time talking about the transition from the 17th to the 18th and then rushed ahead to the "American War for Independence" AKA the revolutionary war....i guess it wasn't so revolutionary for them....Goodtimes. After that...Stef and Alison and I went to a taping of the show "Ready Steady Cook" on the BBC. Its a really awesome show where 2 contestants pick the ingredients that 2 chef have to cook with in 20 minutes. It was really cool and the contestants were actually people from another BBC show: "Beyond Boundaries" where disabled people trek across nicaragua. One was blind and one was in a wheelchair. One of the chefs is on another british show called "Strictly Come Dancing" which the Americans stole and made "dancing with the stars" its a lot bigger here than in the states. Anyone the show was really cool and i will have pictures of that as well. After that we went to a
round chinese buffet in leicester square. All in all a really good day.
OH MY GOSH!!! I'm now officially caught up with my life!!!! How awesome is that?
