All right, so I failed to mention one key fact about my trip to the mall: I got my hair cut! Like chopped off half of my hair. It was quite the therapeutic experience for me and the lady that was cutting it. She was giddier than me for getting rid of all of my hair. It seriously needed it folks...i had a lot of hair and it was getting out of control. Any longer and I think my hair would have seceded from the union and set up an embassy in London....I shall have pictures soon. I promise.
Saturday night I went to a play with my friend Shaun. Actually I kind of dragged him along. You see, when I was at Alison's I found this flier for a play at the SoHo Theatre company starring Martin Freeman.....if you don't know who martin freeman is, watch: The Office, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or Love Actually. He's in all of those and I love him. So anyway, i became determined to go see the show and i ordered a ticket. Seeing shaun in the computer lab and not really wanting to go alone i was like...do you want to go? Meet me in the lobby in an hour. The seating was unreserved and i had ordered my ticket no problem so i figured that he could just easily get a ticket and sit next to me. Well it turns out that the show was sold out, BUT he could get a standing ticket! poor guy. Anyway, he ended up only having to stand for a few minutes and then he got a seat but we had to sit apart. The show was really really good! and Hilarious in a dark comedy sort of way. Like a really good movie on stage...with Martin Freeman. We had some delicious chinese food and shaun had his first experience with Duck...delicious! When we got back, we found that Stefanie had returned to Poland, full of lovely polish food....yay!
The next day Stef and I decided to have another Contact filled day so we embarked on a trip to do every museum off of the South Kensington tube stop. There's three in case you are wondering...the Natural History, The Science museum, and the Victoria and Albert. Our time at each one was increased as soon as we had the epiphany that Daylight Savings Time had happened without us knowing so we had an extra hour to explore.
I have decided that my shoes are magnets to have things dropped on them. In line at this little cafeteria thing, a kid dropped a chocolate cake on my foot......oi! The museums were really really cool. I highly suggest the V and A...it rocks plenty of socks.
