So...the Shakespeare walk was really nice, but It contained much of what I had discovered on my own. It was nice to read some Shakespeare lines though...even if Joe had to be my Romeo....
After that I went back to Alison's for another home cooked meal...shes so much fun to just sit and talk with and eat good food with...good times!!!!
I came back here to school, hung out for a little bit and had a nice little walk home with my good friend Shaun who had his first cold weather in London in experience (he was wearing shorts the silly boy!!)
This morning we got up and trekked over to the Tate Britain Gallery where we had a nice little tour/lecture on the history of British art....they sure like their portraits.....it was really cool though.
After that I broke off from the group and decided to have my first DLR experience (thats the Docklands Light Railway for you) That thing is pretty nifty, what with its no driver and what not. I rode that bad boy all the way to Greenwich where I visited the National Maritime Museum (I've decided that I'm going to go on a cruise.....who wants to go with?) Also...i learned here that among the spice trade..Ginger was a valuable spice used to cure indigestion AND a broken heart! SO next time a boy breaks my heart, i'm not going to bust out the ben and jerrys, i'm going to go for the Canada Dry Ginger Ale!!!!
After that I went to the Queen's House which was decent....had some pretty cool paintings (more portraits!!!) and some interesting info.
After that I trekked up the hill to the Royal Observatory where I stood on the Prime Meridian. Yeah, its all good....i took pictures of it. There is a Laser that goes all over this park marking the meridian for 15 miles. I had to make some phone calls from the meridian...it was fun times. Then I explored the observatory for a bit and talked to this cute older couple from Annapolis. On my way back to London, I got a call from Alison who scored sneak peek tickets to "In Her Shoes" so I left Greenwich and went to see the movie. I really liked Greenwich...definately a cute part of London and surrounding areas. The movie was good...slightly chick flickish....and about shoes... This is the second movie about shoes i've seen while i've been here (the first being Kinky boots).
Tomorrow: Meeting with Ryan then...IRELAND!!!
