There is more than a week delay on me updating, i'm really really bad at this game. Anyway, the next day up north in Manchester was a fun one. i had my first home cooked english breakfast including black pudding which, frankly they can keep in England. it wasn't bad, but just not my cup of tea. We drove back to David's house a little too early for my liking, but I did get to take a shower and a little nap, so that was nice. Of course I got a cup of tea upon awakening. After that we went to his friend Jane's house. Jane is a 50 year old housewife they call Lady Jane and she is one of David's best friends. We sat around and talk and she made me some of hte best food I've had here. She made quiche!!!! Now if you don't know me that well let me let you in on a little secret, known as the secret to my heart: QUICHE!!! i Love it! anyway, we sat down and talked (and drank tea of course!) and David's other friend decided it was best to attack everything that is america and apparently it was all my fault. no worries though, I handled the situation with wit and poise, which I thought to be the best way. After eating (i swear david was trying to fatten me up on this trip!) we all went for a stroll around the park where we people watched for awhile and I also met David's friend Esther. lovely. After that, we went back to Davids where I watched Wallace and Gromit for a bit and then we went back into Manchester with Sophia and her boyfriend where we went to 'curry mile' which is a strip of road known for its overabundance of curry restaurants. After some delicious curry and naan...oh how i love naan bread I got taken on the nickel tour of Manchester, ending at the Manchester Wheel, which I suppose is their version of the London Eye, only a whole lot smaller and cheaper. (David did say however that Manchester is just like london and has everything it has only smaller!). We all went up in one little pod and i got quite a nice view of the city. After that it was back to nana's house for lots of late night conversations consisting of us talking about how David's not coming back to work at camp this summer and who's going to visit who in the future...good times.
